America On Bangladesh Minorities: The United States has stressed on ensuring the safety of religious and ethnic minorities in Bangladesh, saying that they are closely monitoring the developments in Bangladesh. National Security Communications Advisor John Kirby disclosed this in a press briefing at the White House on Thursday (December 12).
According to the report of Prothom Alo, a journalist while asking the question said that for the last few weeks, many Hindu American groups have been taking out protest marches across the country, one march was taken out outside the White House over the weekend. They are protesting against the “continuous killings of Hindus and temples in Bangladesh” after the fall of Sheikh Hasina’s government. He asked whether the US President was aware of these issues and whether he had talked about it during his meeting with the head of the interim government of Bangladesh, Dr. Muhammad Yunus, on the sidelines of the UN meeting.
